IPA
India Pale Ale
HopTown
IPA is our flagship beer. IPA stands for India
Pale Ale. When India was a colony of Britain,
the British would send beer to their colonists
on a regular basis. In order to help it survive
the long sea voyage, it was made more bitter
and with more alcohol than a standard pale
ale. It was also "dry hopped" -
a process of adding hops after the fermentation
was complete - which gives the beer a unique
hoppy aroma and flavor. HopTown IPA continues
these traditions with a rich, malty character,
an alcohol content of 6.2% and a generous
helping of hops (almost two pounds per barrel!).
We use Galena hops for bittering and Cascade
and Centennial hops for the finish and for
dry hopping.

Paint
the Town
RED
Our
full-bodied red ale called Paint The Town Red.
It joins our IPA as a beer that we'll always
produce. It is quite hoppy (what else?) and
gets its flavor from generous additions of Cascade
hops and crystal malts. It has around 5.5% alcohol
and about 25 IBUs of bitterness.

GOLDEN
ALE
We've
introduced a brand new beer. It's HopTown Golden
Ale, a light, refreshing pale ale with a golden
yellow color and touch of hops. The HopTown
Golden Ale is the perfect for the beer drinker
that prefers something lighter, but still with
enough taste and character to satisfy the demanding
palette.

"OLD
YELTSIN"
Imperial Stout
HopTown
"Old Yeltsin" Russian-style Imperial
Stout is a very strong dark beer. Imperial Stouts
were brewed in England as a gift for the Russian
Czars. It was brewed extra-strong to survive
the long journey to Russia. It is brewed with
a combination of the finest two-row malts, water,
yeast and hops. HopTown "Old Yeltsin"
has a rich roasty character and plenty of alcohol
to warm you for the long Russian Winter. HopTown
"Old Yeltsin" can be enjoyed by itself
or it goes great with a variety of foods.

DUIPA
Imperial Ale
What
can I say, this beauty weighs in at 9.5% abv
and above (depending how I feel when I brew
it). Though it's monster aromatics and hoppy
bitterness are its predominant characters,
the rich caramel malting balances the complex
profile of this brew. Available in draft only,
both in co2 and nitrogen....a whole keg of
whoop ass!

PALEFACE
PALE ALE
Medium
bodied, with a light hop bitterness. This
smooth summertime brew helps ease the pain
of mowing the lawn...before it happens. Light
and fruity, the Pale Face is the perfect "honey-do"
brew. 5.3% abv

WHEATHOPPER
Red Wheat Ale
Made
with 40% malted Red Wheat, which provides
a fatter, nuttier character than Winter Wheat
(white). Of course it wouldn't be HopTown
if it didn't include plenty of hops. In addition,
to help balance the bigger body, we use an
aggressive yeast strain to assist in drying
out the beer, thus creating the illusion of
more hops then are actually present. 4.8%
